Most of our senses, vital signs, and actions involve the head, marking it an interesting body location for sensing and interaction. Numerous studies indicate head-worn sensors can reveal cognition-related behaviour and vital parameters, such as heart beat. Yet, users consider head-attached sensors often as uncomfortable, irritating, or stigmatising. Behaviour and vital data is the key component for many assistance applications in daily life, from memory augmentation to advising chronic patients. We believe Smart Eye Glasses are right at the spot to fill the gap in sensing and assistance in daily life.
